Soothing the souls of the deceased

Taoist transcendence refers to the process by which a monk connects with the gods through internal refining, rescues lost souls stranded in the mortal world or the underworld, and sends them to their rightful destination. The core lies in “refining degree” – using the mage’s own water and fire (burning away obstacles and washing away soul sins with water), combined with the energy of the north and south, to guide the souls back to their rightful place.
